COVID-19 has changed our lives, our perspectives, and has caused us to shift our plans.  But a few things haven’t changed: love, engagement, and the desire to share the rest of your life with someone.

In this new world of wedding planning during a global pandemic, a different approach to safety and the size of the event must be taken into consideration. It’s overwhelming to say the least, especially when all that you have ever dreamed of has been a big wedding! We’re here to say that you can still have a beautiful wedding day, in an intimate setting, amongst vendors who take your safety and comfort seriously.

You are worthy of celebration!  We want you to give you permission to share that excitement and soak in every moment of this time.  We want you to know it’s okay to start planning your wedding during a pandemic.  In fact, we encourage you to do so!  Planning a 2021 wedding is exciting, and we want you to experience that joy just like any other newly engaged couple.

If it’s one thing that can be said about the wedding industry is that we are strong, adaptable and quick on our toes. Our studio is here to offer our guests a new approach to wedding planning, florals and design to our couples who are looking forward to still celebrating. We are offering planning & design that will encompass a focus on really going all out for your small guest count. We will design a dreamy tablescape with mighty details to show your guests how important they are to you. Florals will be focused on long farm tables or small tables for a smaller table head count. Design details may include a sanitation “bar”, where guests can visit throughout the night. We will work with venues on a checklist of food distribution plans, table spacing, server covid etiquette, guest flow through the space etc. that maximizes guest safety. Papergoods can be designed with verbiage to appreciate your guests and to drive home your seriousness in your approach to the pandemic.

Like a lot of things in our lives, thanks to technology, we can accomplish quite a bit without ever stepping foot outside of our homes.  We can plan your wedding virtually!  This is not a new concept to the Ohana Team.  This is not something that our team crafted as a response to the shutdown.  For years we have been working with couples and families by connecting virtually. Because most of our clients don’t live in the same place as us, we have perfected the art of having meaningful conversations from many miles away.

And while downsizing your weddings might not have been your first choice, this doesn’t mean that your day will be anything less special!  Intimate and smaller ceremonies are very emotional and allow you to focus on you two even more surrounded by your most important and favorite people are around you.

Rest assured that there is so many beautiful smaller venues and nature areas both in New York City, Hudson Valley, Catskills and surrounding areas. We’re here to take care of you through this!
